These are the most important rules in order to stay popular with your classmates and teachers:

  • Never enter a dance hall with regular street shoes — neither before, meanwhile or after class!
  • Switch off your cellphone before going into class!
  • Be punctual or have a good excuse for being late to class!
  • Search a place which does not force your classmates to hit their neighbours!
  • Wear tight clothing for training for your teacher can see and correct your alignment. Refrain from rattling belts — your classmates will thank you for this!
  • Chewing gum is bot only unattractive but also very dangerous (danger of swallowing/dancer of suffocation)!
  • Coffee gossip does not belong to class time — there is always time enough for you and your best friend to chat before or after the class.
  • You do have the right to make mistakes! No one expects you to be perfect. Do not apologize for your faults!
  • Be glad for getting corrections of your teacher! They help you to get better and support you in advancing.
  • Pay attention to corrections for others. They are precious for you — use them!
  • Be patient with yourself! Your teacher did not learn everything at once either!
  • Do not disturb! But a question concerning step combinations or such alike are not a distrubance!
  • Ask questions! If you would know everything you would be ahead not your teacher!
  • Ask your teacher in case you did not understand something — do not ask your classmates. A good teacher will always answer your questions with pleasure.
  • „I am not able to do this“ does not excist! All excercises can be learned.
  • Do not stop clueless after a fault but re-enter the excercise as quickly as possible.
  • Somebody has to begin. Why not you?
  • Come back to the starting point when you finished an excercise without disturbing your classmates!
  • Apologize yourself for collisions AFTER the exercise!
  • Start the excercise with the music and do not wait for being invited to do so.
  • Repeat the excercise as long as the music plays!
  • Give your best! Gib Dein Bestes!
  • Clap your hands or thank at the end of the class after the reverence!
  • Try to remember the corrections until your next class!
  • Smile! Dance is fun! Show it!
